The incident occurred near Sehora in Jabalpur district while they were returning after attending the Maha Kumbh Mela. The mini bus carrying the devotees collided with an oncoming truck, leading to this tragedy. The deceased were identified as people who had come from Hyderabad. The mini bus they were traveling in (AP 29 W 1525) was hit head-on by the speeding truck. As a result, seven people died on the spot, and others were severely injured.
The deceased were identified by the police as residents of the Nacharam area in Hyderabad. The injured were taken to a government hospital near Jabalpur for treatment. Police reached the accident site and conducted an inspection. The bodies were later moved to the hospital for post-mortem. The families of the victims are heartbroken and unable to cope with the loss of their loved ones. As soon as the news of the accident spread, the relatives left Hyderabad for Madhya Pradesh. The government has also promised to extend all possible help to the affected families. The police are initially estimating that the accident occurred due to the negligence of the truck driver.
