Former Indian cricketer Sayiraj Bahutule is set to rejoin Rajasthan Royals as the spin bowling coach. Sayiraj, who worked with the franchise from 2018 to 2021, recently resigned from his position at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He is now returning to Rajasthan Royals as a new coach. In this season, Sayiraj Bahutule will work alongside New Zealand’s bowling coach Shane Bond and head coach Rahul Dravid. He resigned from his position at the "Centre of Excellence," an organization where he held his previous role. Speaking on this, Sayiraj Bahutule mentioned, “Discussions are ongoing, and my responsibilities will be finalized soon. I am very excited to reunite with the Royals." He also expressed his happiness about working with Rahul Dravid again, saying, "He is the person who introduced me to the Indian team during the 2023 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. I was also part of his coaching staff during the Sri Lanka tour."

Sayiraj Bahutule (52) has played two Test matches and five One-Day Internationals in his career. In the 2023 season, Rajasthan Royals' team includes bowlers like Jofra Archer, Tushar Deshpande, Sandeep Sharma, Akash Madhwal, and Fazalhaq Farooqi. This season, Sayiraj Bahutule will also work with Sri Lankan spinners like Maheesh Theekshana, Kumar Karthikeya, and Wanindu Hasaranga. Additionally, Rajasthan Royals management has shown interest in purchasing the Trent Rockets team in the England’s Hundred cricket league. The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has selected six new team owners for this league.

However, the Southern Brave and Trent Rockets teams are still to be sold. Manoj Badale, the owner of Rajasthan Royals, currently owns the Barbados Royals in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Paarl Royals in the South Africa SA20 league. Reports suggest that IPL franchises and private equity firms are competing in the process to acquire the Trent Rockets team.
